CATALOGUE

The InPact catalogue is the system that defines all the parameters and characteristics of the standard pieces created for a specific business unit.

With a standardised catalogue, we not only streamline the production of parts in the workshop, but also speed up and ensure quality in the field, making it a key component in increasing efficiency and simplifying the installation process.

STEPS FOR CREATING A CATALOGUE

1.     Collaboration with workshop managers: This is the most crucial stage in catalogue creation as it involves presenting ideas from workshop managers, defining the different parts with their characteristics and specifications specific to each location.

2.     Development of databases: Using the information obtained from workshop managers, data bases are created for catalogue data.

3.     Creation of the environment and migration of the app: The IT department of each business unit creates an environment to control permissions and functionalities associated with each role. The InPact team collaborates to migrate digital tools to this environment. The app is then adapted to meet established requirements.

Our applications are flexible and scalable, offering changes in functionality and new interfaces according to agreed-upon needs. For example, KAEFER ENERGY AS requested the creation of a role and permission configurator in the LOGISTICS application, and during the development of the BeNeLux catalogue, new icons were created to fit the characteristics of their parts.

4.     Testing of the apps: Developers and subsequently, business units conduct tests toensure that each functionality works correctly.

5.     Final checks and error correction: With the tests conducted, the application isvalidated with end-users to ensure its correctness.

6.     Expansion and updating of the catalogue: Once the catalogue is completed, it may change. It’s important to note that the catalogue is a flexible and adaptable tool.Aspects such as price or the creation of new parts can be performed thanks to a solid IT setup that facilitates easy and quick changes and creation of new records.

The InPact method has a clear focus on facilitating the work of all KAEFER employees by prioritising the solution of complex problems with efficient tools tailored to each identified need.

With a standardised catalogue, we not only streamline the production of parts in the workshop, but also speed up and ensure quality in the field, making it a key component in increasing efficiency and simplifying the installation process.
